Salary and Benefits: Depending on your experience level, and the type of school hosting you

• Salary a monthly stipend ranging from 8,000 CNY to 20,000+ CNY, depending on public or private institution, and city location in China. Some schools reportedly can be upwards of 25,000 CNY (CNY also known as RMB)

• Health Insurance provided by your employing school

• Flights reimbursement (varies) and airport pickup

• Housing allowance or provided apartment depending on the school

• Bonus possibility after 1 full year completion of teaching contract (varies)

• Work Visa to legally be employed in China while teaching English or other fields

Requirements: You’ll need to meet these first to work and teach English in China

• Verified legal documents for a Health Check from your doctor, and Criminal Background Check

• TEFL, TESL or TESOL Certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Teaching English as a Second Language, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

• Bachelor’s / Undergraduate Degree from an accredited institution

• 2 years of Work Experience a verified letter by your previous employers with an official notarization

Processing: Further documentation needed once you’ve been accepted for a teaching job position in China

• Formal Letter of Job Invitation from the school or institution

• Passport with at least 1 year validity

• Foreign Expert’s Card / ID given by SAFE (State Administration of Foreign Experts)

  Once you have these documents

• Find your nearest Chinese Embassy in your home country for sending these documents, you can mail your passport and documentation to an official courier service

• Get the Z Visa \ Work Visa before you leave for China, which can take one to several months to obtain
